Things To Do

HELP US ACHIEVE THE TASK GOD HAS LAID IN OUR HEARTS. HOW OUR HEARTS BURN TO DO THE WILL OF THE LORD! COME WITH US AND SEE OUR ZEAL FOR THE LORD. WE ARE PRODUCTS OF A PAST GENERATION. WHILE ENJOYING WHAT THEY LAID DOWN FOR US, WE SHOULD LAY DOWN SOMETHING FOR THE NEXT GENERATION.

We continue to do God's work according to our ability for it is accepted according to what a man has and not according to what a man has not.

We are very grateful for berudep for helping ABCD as often as possible . Volunteers to Berudep are very useful to ABCD. Some have taught in ABCD schools like Annuka from Finland and others. We remain Grateful to Berudep. See them online: www.berudep.org

The youths are a re of wonderful service to ABCD. They help a lot in Abcd institutions. Some work in schools. Some in the Health center. Some in the orphanage. We remain grateful to them.

ASSOCIATION OF BAPTIST CHURCHES FOR DEVELOPMENT (ABCD)was founded in 1998 as A Non-governmental Organistion (NGO) by Baptist christians of locaL churches in Boyo Division. It is duly registered under Cameroon law No.90/053 of December 19th 1990. It is non profit making.

What motivated the formation of ABCD?

   A felt need had been established by a group of concerned christians who had disciplined themselves to a ten year-study of remote and enclaved areas heavily populated by Baptist christians under the umbrella of Belo Field Council Of Baptist Churches (BFCC). Their findings revealed that these rural areas were unattended by Government and Denominational church groups. As a result, thes rural areas and their poor inhabitants remained undirected and unassistedin the area of Education and Health.

Obviously , the socio-economic and cultural development are best enhanced in educated and healthy communities.

The scope of ABCD.

   ABCD is not a christian denomination. It cannot, therefore , plant or organise churches.

Area of operation.

The activities of ABCD cover the entire Cameroon territory.

The Head Office.

The head office of ABCD is located at Belo-kom Boyo Division. It is headed by a general administrator who is answerable to the management committee of the association.

Our Objectives:

* To improve the quality of life for the Baptist christians marooned in poor areas by giving them access to educational facilities.

* Good health enhances socio-economic development and productivity, hence the objective of bringing health services to the people where they live.

* With time the introduction of sustainable projects will bring about the comfort of self-reliance.

GOOD HEALTH CONTINUE TO BE A MAJOR CRY OF MANY PARTS OF AFRICA. COMMUNITIES IN THE INTERIOR SUFFER MOST. SOME COMMUNITIES DO NOT EVEN HAVE A DISPENSARY. tHEY HAVE TO WAIT ON TRADITIONAL HEALERS WHO ARE NEVER TRUST WORTHY. iT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF ABCD TO ALLEVIATE THE PLIGHT OF THESE COMMUNITIES. hELP ABCD FULFIL WONDERFUL TASK. OUR CHILDREN TOO NEED QUALITY EDUCATION IN OTHER TO BE BETTER CITIZENS TORMORROW.

       ABCD WORKS WITH LOCAL CHURCHES AND LOCAL ORGANISTAIONS TO FACILITATE THEIR SERVICES. CHILDREN FROM ABCD SCHOOLS WILL GO UT TO PERFORM IN PUBLIC FESTIVALS. tHEIR BETTER PERFORM BOOST THE IMAGE OF ABCD.
